Steel Mesh

Steel mesh is used in beams, columns, floors, roofs, walls, concrete pavements, bridge decks, airport runways, tunnel linings, box culverts, dock floors, prefabricated components, and other fields of industrial and civil buildings.

Advance:

1. Significantly improve the quality of steel bar projects;

2. Significantly increase the construction speed;

3. Enhance the crack resistance of concrete;

4. It has good comprehensive economic benefits.

Application:

1. Application of steel mesh in highway cement concrete pavement engineering

⑴. When it is impossible to set a force transfer rod in the expansion joint connecting the concrete pavement and the fixed structure, a double-layer steel mesh can be arranged in the end of the plate adjacent to the structure; or the plate thickness can be gradually increased by 20% within a range of about 6 to 10 times the plate thickness.

⑵. When the concrete pavement is connected to the bridge and a slab is provided at the bridge head, a reinforced concrete surface transition plate with a length of 6 to 10 mm should be provided between the slab and the concrete surface layer. When the bridge is oblique, the sharp angle of the reinforced concrete slab should be reinforced with steel mesh.

⑶, when there is a box-shaped structure horizontally passing under the concrete surface layer, and the distance from its top surface to the bottom surface of the surface layer is less than 400mm or embedded in the base layer, a double layer of steel mesh should be laid in the concrete surface layer at the top width and both sides of the structure, with the upper and lower layers of steel mesh at 1/4 to 1/3 of the thickness of the top and bottom surfaces of the surface layer.

Steel Mesh

2. Application of steel mesh in bridge engineering

It is mainly used for bridge deck paving of municipal bridges and highway bridges, reconstruction of old bridge decks, crack prevention of bridge piers, etc. The quality acceptance of thousands of bridge application projects in China shows that the use of welded mesh significantly improves the quality of bridge deck pavement layer, the qualified rate of protective layer thickness reaches more than 97%, the flatness of the bridge deck is improved, the bridge deck is almost crack-free, the paving speed is increased by more than 50%, and the cost of bridge deck paving project is reduced by about 10%. The steel mesh of the bridge deck pavement layer should use welded mesh or pre-prepared cold-rolled ribbed steel mesh, and tied steel mesh should not be used. The diameter and spacing of the steel mesh for bridge deck paving should be determined according to the bridge structure and load level. The spacing between the steel mesh can be 100-200mm, and the diameter should be 6-100mm. The steel mesh should be spaced equally in the longitudinal and transverse directions, and the thickness of the protective layer of the welded mesh from the top surface should not be less than 20mm.

3. Application of steel mesh in tunnel lining

Ribbed steel mesh should be installed in shotcrete, which is beneficial to improve the shear and bending strength of shotcrete, improve the punching and bending resistance of concrete, improve the integrity of shotcrete, reduce shrinkage cracks of shotcrete, and prevent local block drop. The steel mesh grid should be arranged in a rectangular shape, and the spacing between steel bars of the steel mesh is 150 to 300mm. The combination of 150mm×150mm, 200mm×200mm, 200mm×250mm, 250mm×300mm, and 300mm×300mm can be used. The overlap length of the steel mesh should not be less than 30d (d is the diameter of the steel bar)
